About Us
Briggs Burners Limited was established in 1976, as a family business offering a personal, friendly service to clients throughout the north of England, initially specialising in heating systems and burner spare parts.
We specialise in industrial and commercial heating and cooling. All our products are selected for their functionality and low power usage, with many of them specifically designed to solve problems that conventional solutions can’t handle.
We are very aware of the challenges facing modern business, particularly in the wake of rising fuel prices and the potential pitfalls of associated carbon tariffs. Unfortunately, we don’t see this getting any easier so all our products have been chosen with economy in mind. Most of our products are selected to have very low running costs and are especially useful to businesses looking at lowering their carbon footprint and industrial premises looking to cut their electricity usage in particular, often in respect of the capacity charge that some industry faces due to electricity consumption.
We have extended our range to incorporate cooling solutions, as many of our clients find themselves having to cool areas in summer as well as heat them in winter. Again, these products are chosen for their minimal fuel usage and practicality.
Our development and success is founded on technical expertise and an ongoing commitment to excellence in customer service. We work closely with our clients, taking care to understand their requirements and to implement optimum solutions. As well as our direct customers such as printers, joinery shops and factories, we also deal with consulting engineers and other intermediaries.

In recent years, we have responded to environmental issues and developed our business in a highly eco-friendly direction, which we believe makes economic as well as environmental sense.
Many of our products qualify under the Carbon Trust Interest Free Loan Scheme. This means that, if you are a small to medium sized business, you may be eligible for a 4 year, interest free, unsecured loan from the Carbon Trust of up to £100,000 to cover a complete installation. It seems likely that, in the future, EU and UK legislation will continue to support the type of environmentally sound products that Briggs Burners supply, to the mutual benefit of our customers. We will continue to develop an innovative portfolio of products and services to this end.
